Especially handy is the fact that the Jamaican alcoholic punch recipe is super easy as you need only 5 ingredients (garnishes are entirely optional) and a regular pitcher to whip it up. No fancy cocktail shaker needed, although you can go ahead and use it if you have one.

This is also a great punch recipe to make ahead and refrigerate until needed as well as being able to double or triple the recipe for a crowd.

SERVE YOUR CARIBBEAN RUM PUNCH RECIPE COLD

The Caribbean Rum Punch recipe is best served cold. If you don’t have enough time to chill it properly, then try freezing it for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Chef’s Tip ==> Chill or even freeze your garnishes so that the drink stays cold colder longer.

GRENADINE SUBSTITUTES

  • Black currant cassis
  • Jamaican fruit punch syrup
  • Pomegranate molasses
  • Strawberry syrup

RUM PUNCH VARIATIONS

Whilst this is one of my favorite rum punch recipes – I have whipped up many other versions based on what I have available and what guests might like.

I tend to make this with white rum. However, I love adding in coconut rum which gives it an extra splash of Caribbean flavor. You can also use spiced rum as well as dark rum to suit your taste.

On special occasions, I even add in a cup of Champagne or Prosecco and that worked well too. Fizzy and fun!
